Peter Linz, Professor Emeritus, University of California, Davis
Peter Linz is Professor Emeritus in the Department of Computer Science at the University of California, Davis. Linz received his PhD from the University of Wisconsin. Professor Linz's research emphasizes the development of a theory of numerical analysis that can be used in the construction of reliable numerical methods used in the design of problem-solving environments for scientific computing. Linz released the third edition of An Introduction to Formal Languages and Automata, as well as a new book Exploring Numerical Methods: An Introduction to Scientific Computing, this year.

Richard L.C. Wang, University of California, Davis
Richard Wang received his PhD in Mathematics from the University of California at Davis in 1985. Since then, Dr. Wang has been worked as an algorithm developer and numerical analyst for several companies including Lockheed Missiles and Spaces, KLA and others in the silicon valley. Dr. Wang is currently working for Peoplesoft, Inc. as an algorithm specialist.
